Domo- the hot new Asian restaurant in Sofia, Bulgaria
Domo Restaurant welcomed its first guests in December 2023. Situated in Zaimov Park, adjacent to the tennis courts, it boasts Chef Petya Vasileva at the helm, formerly renowned for her culinary expertise at Edo Sushi.
The delight of Domo’s discerning clientele lies in its exquisite cuisine and extensive wine selection.

See in Domo …
… An interior with minimalistic style: featuring plenty of wood, bamboo, and pleasant Japanese-style panels adorning the walls.
… An impressive and rich wine list: to my delight, offering wines by the glass, all of excellent quality. In our case, we enjoyed a Portuguese Alvarinho, which paired beautifully with the Asian cuisine.
Feel in Domo …
… Swift and attentive service: the waiter anticipated our needs exceptionally well and was proactive in catering to them.
Hear in Domo …
… Tranquil and pleasing music: carefully selected, without being intrusive.
Movie-watching time: 1:17 min.
Smell in Domo …
…A variety of Asian spices: curry, ginger, wasabi, lemongrass—depending on what you’ve ordered.
Taste in Domo …
… We ordered a variety of dishes, all of which were excellent: you can trust any item on the menu, and if you need more information, the waiter are happy to assist. I highly recommend everything we tried:
… Asian guacamole with shrimp chips
… Green salad with crispy calamari
… Korean pancake (vegetarian)
… Vegetable gyoza
… Katsu curry with crispy breaded chicken
… Shrimps
… Sushi
… Korean fried chicken: only if you enjoy the combination of sweet, spicy, and slightly sour flavors.
As for desserts…
… Matcha cheesecake
… Miso crème brûlée (note: slightly salty due to the fermented miso with soy sauce).
Their menu also offers Japanese Wagyu—a high-quality beef, quite expensive, but definitely worth a try.
Our entire family unanimously decided to return to Domo to sample more items from the menu. It certainly ranks equally with Hamachi and 888 Taste Show in terms of food quality.
