A belated review that dates back to February 2020, before the big closure for Covid-19.
I stayed at the Crowne Plaza- Le Palace Hotel in Brussels because the event I was attending was planned there. Hotel Crowne Plaza is part of the InterContinental Hotels Group, which includes Holiday Inn..
See ….
…. Ancient building dating from 1908, suitably renovated for a hotel;
…. The hotel is convenient for business visitors;
…. Spacious common areas with high ceilings in retro style, comfortable and well-equipped conference rooms;
…. Wonderful prints of paintings by Gustav Klimt;
…. Before the Kovid-19 lockdown, green apples and water were offered at the hotel’s entrance, as well as maps of the city as a compliment to visitors.
Feel ….
…. The hotel has a very convenient location – it is located in the center, next to the metro station, close to the botanical garden and the largest shopping street, and within walking distance to the major museums in Brussels;
…. Crowne Plaza has many halls and this makes it very suitable for organizing events;
…. Wi-Fi access is free;
…. The hotel has provided guests with bottles of water, instant coffee and tea as a compliment in addition to an electric kettle;
…. Unfortunately, I didn’t see hotel slippers anywhere;
…. Opportunity to cancel visits from house keeping;
…. Friendly and responsive service at the reception, good maintenance of the rooms from house keeping, well organized staff for event support.
Hear ….
…. The hotel is very quiet, so those staying there on business can enjoy a good night’s rest;
… Noisy air conditioner.
Movie watching time: 1:17 min
Smell ….
…. Fresh breakfast products, varied without extravagant;
…. The nice aromas of good cosmetics in the bathroom.
Taste ….
…. A nice breakfast, without being too extravagant, but varied enough, including standard eggs, sausages, pasta;
…. The waffles at the breakfast buffet were tough and chewy – the iconic Belgian waffle should be offered in the best possible version and form. It is disappointing when in such a hotel it is offered at such a mediocre level.
Crowne Plaza is preferable for its good location and great event organization. For the first time I attended such a large-scale event, for more than 400 people, so well organized, excluding the typical hi-tech forums.

Where to stay if you are not from the city?
If you are not from Brussels and you are already planning a visit to the city, I recommend that you book your stay right here. For your convenience, I have added a booking.com box, which refers directly to their site. I guarantee you’re going to use all your genius discounts and privileges they would offer to you. Just enter the dates of your trip, then hit the Search button and voila. In addition, booking.com are doing their best to make sure that your expectations as a customer are fulfilled. I’ve described an example about the latter in my story about our stay in Shangri-La hotel in Singapore .
