Unfortunately, the restrictions along the Covid-19 pandemic deprived us of the Gotvarnitsa. Only the Krachmarnitsa remained. The master in its kitchen is Chef Velin Velikov, whome I introduced to you together with Chef Georgi Boykovski in a series of interviews from the column FacesCases:

Krachmarnitsa also has a nice interior, similar to the one in the Gotvarnitsa, but its advantage is that it has a garden, as well as seats on the sidewalk. Don’t worry about getting cold outside – ask for a blanket and a heater.

…. Pleasant interior and exterior in the garden;
… . Perfectly plaited trays and plates by Chef Velikov and company;
…. The menu is full of interesting suggestions that change periodically;
…. Towards the end of the brunch, i.e. late Sunday afternoon the staff was so busy collecting the empty dishes that they could not wash them timely and they were not very pleasantly piled on the bar. They cleaned up quickly, but it made me feel a bit of chaos. Better this, than empty or closed restaurant.
As you can read in the interviews with Chef Velikov, he always changes something, adjusts to his dishes, seeks improvements, so the updated menu is not a surprise.

… Pleasant service from the staff – they are quite busy in the garden and inside, especially on weekends;
…. There is a need to fix things with the wine list, because most of the bottles are missing;
…. Crispy pleasant surprises on the plates, like pork popcorn with shrimp.
Hear ….
… .People talk happily in the garden, from time to time a car on the street passes by, but in no case it is unpleasant, because the traffic is not intense.

…. Wonderful appetizing aromas of herbs in the fish soup.
Taste ….
…. The already mentioned fish soup, as well as meatballs, sea bream plakia;
In Bulgarian cuisine plakia is a dish cooked in oven with onion and vegetables. If you are not from Bulgaria it is very difficult to try it, because is typical home-made dish, rarely offered in restaurants.
…. The mascarpone cream was great;
…. The children liked the chicken very much;
…. Incredibly tender and delicious stewed pork steak.
Again, I make a note that the things I have described here and you see in the movie may no longer be available.

Opening hours: Mon-Sun 11:00-23:00, but now all places close in 22 o’clock because of the pandemic.
