Rating by the 5D Sensograph of placescases.com:
Average 5D score: 5 out of 5.
See…
…. That cute, fluffy, flowery, cushionly and vignette like place;
…. Cakes in the window display, tempting you to try all of them;
…. Small tables in front, inviting you to bask in the morning sun, where people sit gaping at the lazy street traffic, just like in France.
Feel…
…. Friendly and elaborated explanation for each cake and recommendations how to grade them according to their sweetness ;
…. Jolly and fresh morning mood;
…. That other customers are willing to sit at the tables in front, to bask in the sun, drink coffee watching the street, and if you have soft soul, you can invite someone to share your table if you have vacant seats and you tend to procrastinate your stay there;
Hear…
…. The street noise, people’s conversation (if you are willing to listen to them) from the next table, stuck to yours.
Le Salon Aux Fleurs Interior
Smell…
…. The scent of coffee, mocha, caramel, honey and lemon.
Taste…
…. All the cakes if you can but I would grade them like this: Mocha with mascarpone, French with blueberries, Cream puff, Bavarian cream cake, Lemon cake (there are a lot more but I’ll be back to terminate them later, since this time I succeeded to eat only these)
…. Good coffee and cappuccino, with a picture in the foam, just as I like it.
Le Salon Aux Fleurs Food
We were headed for lunch to another place, on the same street, which I know from articles advertising its tasty organic and healthy food or something like that. However, the host there was a lady (maybe she was the owner or maybe not), that didn’t have the desire to smile or talk to us in this “brutally early” hour 11:30, didn’t want to understand the question “What is your lunch menu?” and finally we left unwilling to waste our time, money and efforts to win her favor for us- the annoying customers.
This is how we ended across the street, at the corner in Le Salon Aux Fleurs, which I have noticed and pinned a long time ago for my Places Cases list but somehow always in a hurry missed to visit. It is really a good coincidence that we had that experience beforehand, since I could continue to postpone this cake sinning carefree pleasure to spend some lazy time in Le Salon Aux Fleurs.
The cakes there are delicious and fresh, tempting to overeat. I can only recommend to be careful with them, or not to be- just go there taste them by yourself! Don’t forget to terminate your sugarless diet before that.
This is it- Le Salon Aux Fleurs or the Living room with the flowers, the tasty cakes, vintage vignettes and spring sun is waiting for you!
