See…
… Small place a little tight if full of visitors, with just 3-4 tables on the ground floor and some more at the underground level, which I personally find a little claustrophobic;
… Nice accents from Croatian folklore – lace on the menus, hand-made table cloths, decoration on the walls;
… A book with photos of Croatia from the air, which are also displayed on a screen.
Feel….
… Nice friendly service by a little shy guy;
… Comfort and relax.
Listen…
… Traditional Croatian music;
… Singing at the night club across from the alley – I understood that Croatian people love to sing a lot.
Smell…
… Red pepper in a sausage, similar to Ventricina;
… Rosemary in another sausage;
… Unpleasant for me smell of prosciutto crudo- local version, I am just not into this type of meat.
Taste…
…. Charcuterie and cheese from all Croatian regions – the cheese is truly good, as well as most of the sausages and salami I tried;
… Fantastic bread;
… Local wine- Croatian wine is very nice, if you visit Croatia, you should try it definitely.
During my last trip to Zagreb, Croatia, I visited many interesting places, with great cuisine, Mediterranean and traditional, offering fantastic wine list from all Croatian regions. I have to mention also, that Croatia produces really god olive oil and truffles. You can read all other articles dedicated to Croatia using its name as search word in placescases.com.
I was invited to Miseria Nobile by a friend from Croatia and that was exactly the place we needed to visit that evening! Such type of places in Croatia are called Konoba, which means tavern, or restaurant offering traditional local food. The place was charming and nice, with very tasty charcuterie, cheese and wine!
Try platters from many regions and don’t rush, just take your time, with a bottle of local wine on the table.
Miseria Nobile is just in the centre of Zagreb, stop by for a while and enjoy!
