Skylounge

Skylounge – luxury, views, delicious food and impeccable service in the center of Belgrade, Serbia

Skylounge is a combination of restaurant and bar, located on the top floor of Hilton Hotel in Belgrade and close to Slavia Square. There are so many impressive things about it, I don’t even know where to start.

We went there with the idea of drinking cocktails, but we also stayed for dinner, because the menu with Asian offers really appealed to us.

See in Skylounge …

… A wonderful view from above: you can enjoy both sunsets and the evening lights of Belgrade.

… The waiters’ show to the sound of the DJ’s music: at a certain moment the waiters form a line and clap around the restaurant. It lifts the mood. I couldn’t tell if it was related to a celebration of one of the guests or in honor of serving a special dish, but it was interesting.

… Rich wine and cocktail list: cocktails are both classic and original, and the wine list includes both local and foreign representatives.

… Display with fresh fish and seafood: there is also lobster – as soon as you enter, you can see the aquariums.

Feel  in Skylounge

… The service is impeccable: from the collection of outerwear at the entrance, welcome you to your table, to the attention with which the waiters present the fresh fish and seafood, or explain the meal and advise on the wine to pair it with. The staff was really well coached.

Hear in Skylounge

… Service in English: Some of the staff are English speaking and this makes it easier for foreigners.

… Great music, very good DJ, in our case it was a lady: the music is well chosen, and not too loud during the dinner hours, so as not to disturb the comfort of the guests’ digestion.

Movie-watching time: 1:32 min.

Smell in Skylounge

… The aromas in the cocktails: the bartenders are very good, and the offers of classic and signature cocktails are interesting, just as expected from such a place.

… Asian spices: the typical Asian cuisine- ginger, lemongrass, soy sauce, wasabi, togarashi and more.

Taste  in Skylounge

… Fresh fish, and why not lobster: all of it is brought to your table with a trolley right at the beginning when you order.

… From the Asian menu, everything you like: the chef is from Thailand and knows his job very well.

… Cocktails: you must try a signature cocktail before or after dinner. You can even visit the place just for a cocktail and a view from the terrace.

… Local wine: feel free to try wine from Serbia, it’s quite good. Emphasize local varieties – from the whites, the highly aromatic Tamjanka, from the reds, Vranac and Prokupac.

Skylounge is a remarkable place, but be prepared for higher prices and make a reservation (convenient and easy through their website) if you plan to visit!
