Right in the heart of Ljubljuana, by the river Ljubljanitsa, among the old beautiful buildings you will find the restaurant Pri Vitezu. It was recommended to us in Lesar Hotel Angel and it was reviewed positively in Google Maps.

It was a good decision to visit the place. It was very close to the hotel and we did not need to roam around in the cold  to find it.

Entering Pri Vitezu we felt the nice welcoming atmosphere of an old city house.

We were navigated to a vacant table by a smiling young man. It was 26 December and the Christmas festivities in the city were going on. The restaurant is situated in the mids of the Chrismas bazaar, which is also a an interesting place, where you can have fun, eat yummly and drink gluewein. Outside as well as inside the place there were lots of smiling, celebrating people, speaking language close to ours- we felt like home.

The food was delicious and presented very well. There are meals for any taste.

Veal, cooked perfectly, fish, schniezel, soup and wonderful local sausages, served German style with sour cabbage and oven baked potatoes. All of this is preceded by prosciutto, parmigiano and arugula bruschetta. A local red wine was making company to the meals. Wonderful night!

Pri Vitezu Food

The service was a little slow, may be because of the holidays period and lack of personnel. However, the people there were very flexible. The veal was over and the waiter offered immediately to substitute it with beef, so my daughter was not disappointed and had her desire schniezel.

I would visit this place again and recommend it to every visitor of Ljubljuana.
