Anton – a luxury apartment for four, ideal for a ski or cycling holiday, Brunico, Italy

The two bedroom apartment at Anton Dolomites in Brunico, where we stayed for our ski holiday in the Kronplatz area, fully met our expectations so much so that we did not want to leave. We immediately started the booking process for the following year.

… Thoughtful interior details that pleasantly surprise, though there was one oversight: a hole in the wall of the children’s room was roughly filled with a napkin, which stood out against everything else. We received an apology from the manager, but the napkin was not removed by housekeeping until the end of our stay. Each room has its own bathroom. The bathrooms are equipped with toiletries, very soft towels and bathrobes, and sufficient toilet paper.

… Small pleasant decorations and a large, slightly provocative painting.

… Lovely Christmas decorations left for us including a tree and table decor.

… Large French windows that open, with blinds controlled by buttons.

Feel in Anton Luxury Apartment …

… Stylish and fully sufficient equipment for a longer stay. Well chosen glasses, cutlery and plates matching the apartment’s style. A standard oven combined with a microwave and steam function, induction cooktops and a branded extractor placed between them. The TV is large but not smart, meaning you need an HDMI cable to watch streaming platforms from your computer or phone. We found one in a nearby Chinese shop, where you can also buy Christmas decorations.

… The building offers a small but adequate spa with steam room, sauna, relaxation area and outdoor cooling access. Plenty of towels are provided, along with tea, biscuits, raw nuts, dried fruit or water..

… The spa is connected to a small gym with four cardio machines, weights, a ball and comfortable loungers.

… Easy access to the apartment: you receive cards from a box with a personal code sent by management. Assistance and instructions are always available via WhatsApp.

… Good location, a 10–12 minute walk from the city center and its Christmas market.

… Each apartment has its own garage and storage room for ski or cycling equipment..

… Housekeeping visits can be requested as often as you like during your stay at no extra cost.

… Unfortunately there is no washing machine in the apartment, but the hosts kindly allow you to use the housekeeping one.

Hear in Anton Luxury Apartment …

… The apartment is very well insulated, so even noisy neighbors will not be heard. There are rules against parties and unannounced guests, mainly to ensure parking availability in the … underground garage.

… For music, I recommend bringing a portable speaker. Although the living room TV has radio channels, it is best to ensure your own music comfort.

… Half a point was deducted only because there is no washing machine in the apartment and the TV is not smart.

Smell in Anton Luxury Apartment …

… The aroma of espresso thanks to complimentary capsules and the Nespresso machine early in the morning.

… Liquid fragrance diffusers with a spa-like scent that is pleasant and not overpowering.

… A special tea set with a teapot and two cups was left for us, a favorite ritual after a day on the slopes. The same tea is available in the spa area.

Taste in Anton Luxury Apartment …

… Complimentary coffee, tea and fruit including bananas, mandarins and apples, provided without prior request.
… You can order croissants delivered to the apartment. We noticed there is a bakery nearby, likely the source of deliveries. Family members can also pick up fresh pastries for breakfast.

A great pizzeria nearby, though note that holiday hours differ from Google Maps and they turned out to be closed on Sundays. If you make a reservation, it is best to call, as online confirmation may not arrive.

For fine dining lovers, Hotel Lagennhof with its excellent restaurant is just steps away. For our group of eight, a cozy private area was reserved. A turntable was available and we played vinyl records. The wine selection is excellent, reasonably priced and very diverse
