An old Burgas legend is ready for a second life after the large-scale renovation that was done to it – Hotel Bulgaria has always been an emblem of the seaside town.
…. Completely renovated, modern interior;
…. Cozy lobby with fireplace in the center, huge spaces on the ground floor with reception;
…. The rooms are comfortable, I recommend the upper floors from the 8th upwards, for a nice view;
…. Impressive variety in the minibar, it is a pity that there is no terrace on which to sit and have a drink with a view at the sea.
…. The location of the hotel is key – it is located at the intersection of the two central pedestrian streets Alexandrovska and Bogoridi;
…. Kind service from all employees;
… The other key thing about the location is that right in front of the hotel is my favorite bar with the best cocktails in Burgas – Escobar, the successor of Equilibrium Bar with the same owner and world master of cocktails – Krasi Chukov;
…. I didn’t like it very much that even though the breakfast is until 10:30, at 10 they almost fail or simply refuse to load the exhausted products. You have to ask for something to reloaded. On the other hand, it is commendable that food is not wasted in this way – post-pandemic, I am already showing a greater understanding of such phenomena. That’s why only half a heart is lost;
…. The spa has a thermal area with 4 types of saunas- herbal, which unfortunately did not have herbs, a Finnish sauna, a steam bath and a hammam. Half a heart is lost because there is nothing herbal in the herbal sauna;
…. The pool has a very beautiful design, it is nice when there are no people, otherwise there is a danger of crowds since it is small, so for real swimming you’d better visit it only in the morning between 7 and 9 o’clock;
…. The pool jacuzzi has the strongest bubble traction I’ve encountered in such public facilities;
…. There are very few TV channels, if your kids stick to their favorite programs, they won’t find them;
…. The hair dryer in the bathroom is quite strong – you can count on a strong jet and high temperature. The problem is that there is a big struggle with the short cord.
A hint for the hair dryer – it is activated by squeezing the handle, if you release it – the chain is interrupted. It’s a little tiring, especially in combination with stretching the cord.
…. The fan in the bathroom does not work when you turn on the lamp, but in some incomprehensible, at least for me, moments.
…. The calm Asian chill-out music in the spa and the pool is important for achieving complete relaxation in such places and I appreciate it whenever I hear it.
Movie watching time: 3:28 min.
…. Breakfast products – fresh and smelling delicious;
…. The steam bath uses rose scent instead of traditional eucalyptus. I found it pleasant;
…. The pool jacuzzi smells of chlorine – at least you can be sure it’s disinfected.
Rich and tasty breakfast – there was absolutely everything, I was most pleased with the:
…. Poached eggs, which are rarely served at buffet;
… And the wonderful fluffy banitsa.;
…. Small waffles, pancakes, omelettes like cakes and tartlets with fish filling are another fun and different thing.
I would be happy to stay again at Hotel Bulgaria in Burgas.
