After previously staying at Amadria Park Hotel Capital in the center of Zagreb, I decided this time to try another hotel of the same type and style. I chose Le Premier Boutique Hotel and was very pleased with my choice.

It is located in the heart of Donji Grad, at Kralja Držislava 5, just about 700–800 meters from the main square and the cathedral. The hotel is housed in an elegant building from 1923, designed by architect Lav Kalda in the Viennese Secession style, which gives the place a refined historical character. Inside, there are around 60 stylishly furnished rooms and suites.

Le Premier opened its doors in 2017 after a major investment of about 10 million euros and immediately attracted attention upon its debut.

I really liked the style, comfort, and quality of service. You can read more below about what impressed me the most.

… Street noise at night: the windows don’t fully block out the sound of trams, but overall — especially on summer weekends — traffic quiets down early, so it’s not a major issue. Only if you prefer sleeping with the windows open might it disturb you.

… Quality complimentary espresso capsules and water: the rooms are equipped with Nespresso coffee machines and come with two coffee capsules and two small bottles of water, although tap water in Zagreb is safe to drink.

… The breakfast in the restaurant smells incredibly appetizing — everything is fresh.

Taste in Le Premier Boutique Hotel in Zagreb …

… Excellent and varied breakfast with à la carte options: in addition to a buffet offering a wide range of proteins such as ham from different meats and fish, various types of cheese, fruit, dessert, and several kinds of bread, there’s more. The à la carte menu includes additional options, and drinks come with the choice of sparkling wine. Coffee is offered in several varieties — the buffet includes only filter coffee, while espresso, cappuccino, and americano are available à la carte.

After my stay at the hotel, I also received a discount voucher for a future visit.

I would recommend Le Premier Boutique Hotel in Zagreb for the exceptionally high quality they offer — and at very reasonable prices. A hotel like this would likely cost twice as much in Western Europe.
