RESTAURANT PAPRIKA- TRADITIONAL HUNGARIAN CUISINE IN BUDAPEST, NEAR THE PARK
Restaurant Paprika score by the 5D Sensograph of placescases.com: 4.5 out of 5.
May 2018
We asked at the reception of our hotel to guide us for a traditional restaurant nearby and they immediately recommended Paprika (chili pepper). One can go by feet and then have a nice walk in the park after the good meal. You can read about the hotel where we stayed and were kindly guided to Paprika at may article:
BOOK AT HOTEL MAMAISON ANDRASSY, BUDAPEST- SPACE AND COMFORT IN THE EMBASSIES QUARTER
See ….
…. Very interesting rustic interior, with wooden ornaments and furniture.
…. There are tables outside, if you don’t mind the noise of the boulevard.
Feel ….
…. Friendly service, but a little slow.
Hear ….
…. It was very hard to catch that there was modern Hungarian music, but then I heard world hits from the 90’s, so, rather, the managers were not looking for dubbing in sync with the style of the interior, which is a pity.
Smell …
…. Very tasty smelling grilled bacon in the mixed BBQ– it’s very rare for me to like the smell of pork. Why is this so, it becomes clear in my article:
WHY PORK CHOPS CAN SMELL UNPLEASANT?
…. Vanilla, caramel and cinnamon flavor in the cherry strudel.
Taste ….
…. Great mixed BBQ, beef fine steaks, sausage and wonderful grilled bacon, combined with a great pickles on the side.
…. Fried potatoes are blanched and not nice, ask for chips;
…. Beef steak with traditional Hungarian sauce LECSO- very tasty and they serve it exactly with chips;
…. Hungarian dry red wine Egri Bikaver, Juhasz, 2015- well combined with the food we chose, surprisingly with very low acids but its aroma is nice, slightly mineral.
We had a very pleasant walk from our hotel Mamaison Andrassy Budapest to restaurant Paprika. We came back through the park and finished at the square of Heroes or Millennium Monument of the Unknown Warrior.
We wanted to sit outside, but there were no seats and it was better that we went inside to feel the atmosphere and enjoy the interesting interior. Very nice place and I am grateful to the people at the reception of our hotel that they direct us there.
If you follow our steps and book at the Mamaison Andrassy Budapest, which you can do right here in the booking.com box, I would recommend that you go to restaurant Paprika to eat traditional Hungarian cuisine and drink Hungarian wines.
