For a long time, I passed by Re Club and didn’t try to enter because the main sign on the facade was Sotheby’s, which for me is associated with auctions of high-value items.

After a while I realized that it was actually a restaurant. I liked the pictures on the internet and decided it was time to pay it a visit.

 See ….

It turned out that the restaurant is in symbiosis and at the same address with the representative office in Bulgaria of Sotheby’s Real Estate, which is an international company and is also related to the auctions. Next to every page of the menu there are ads of properties for sale and that is also a little confusing, but as a publicity stunt for the agency it’s probably a good move.

…. Right next to the entrance is the Re Club sign, and even when there are tables outside, it is already clear that it is a restaurant;

…. The yellow Vespa in front adds style to the facade;

…. The impressions of the interior start from the stairs, because opposite you can see a beautiful mural, again in a dominant yellow color, which grabs you from the scooter at the entrance – a wonderful transition, it is obvious that design professionals have been involved. But again, I felt slightly confused when I noticed that the inscription was Sotheby’s. If I wasn’t sure it was a restaurant after all, I might as well go back;

If we make a reference to UX (user experience design), which is generally oriented towards websites, but in this case it can also be applied here, the initial confusion of the client, as to what exactly this is – an agency or a restaurant, we have a serious problem, because it doesn’t become very clear from the start. At every turn there is guessing on the subject and hesitation.

…. On the walls you can see an exhibition of author’s paintings for sale – a great idea, it both adds style and gives the authors the opportunity to showcase their art and sell it;

…. I welcome when some of the tables and chairs are high, but at the same time unquestionably comfortable. Somehow, the space looks cool and it is the same here – there are tables of normal height, of course;

…. A fresh flower on every table – this always impresses and delights. And what do you think the color of the flower is – yellow. We were primed from the beginning with the color of energy, happiness and vitality and it continues to hold us inside.

To prime someone means to hook them to the subconscious that later influences the experience. It comes from psychology.

Very good work, inducing happiness with colors on a subliminal level!

I recommend watching the movie to see all these things!

However, one heart drops because of the confusion that occurs right from the entrance with the purpose of the place as well as inside the menu.

Feel ….

…. Wonderful service – the young man, without being intrusive, showed that he knew his job, he had a wide range of knowledge about food, wine, the industry, how to serve customers – the pleasure was ours!

When the staff provides information to customers without sounding arrogant, intrusive, but informative, in a way that makes the customer interested, it means that we have a very high quality of service.

I dare to say it because it is very difficult to find the balance between annoying the client with too much information or edifying, and giving him pleasure, informing her with ease so that she is pleased.

All this, in comparison with a young waiter’s attitude the other day at Cosmos, which is basically one of my favorite restaurants and number 1 choice for a fine dining experience, which I found too familiar and boring even, somehow made me even more highlight the advantage in this aspect of Re Club. Even more so in the background of the nearby Unica, which I tried to enter shortly before and was returned with a sharper than expected tone of the line “We have no seats” by a girl with heavy make-up and artificial eyelashes, I told myself that I was in in the right place and better that there were no seats in the previous restaurant.

Hear ….

…. The music is nice, but it is actually Vanilla radio. The same sounds in the neighborhood hair salons, shops and other places. I think that this particular restaurant can afford a specially selected list to match the interior.

A heart just drops out for this reason.

Movie watching time: 1:54 min.

Smell ….

…. A glass of Albariño always gives a gorgeous aroma, especially in combination with fish, as it was with us;

…. Without any strong spice smells or any special combinations, everything smelled very appetizing!

Taste ….

The cuisine is simple, without virtuoso combinations, but very tasty!

.. I liked the idea of a crispy egg in a salad with green leaves, avocado, salmon, cucumbers. It’s a boiled egg, in a crispy breading, which was a very pleasant surprise;

…. The dips are wonderful – labneh – tender, slightly sour, tarama, fresh, slightly complemented by finely chopped vegetables, guacamole and toasted sourdough bread;

Labneh comes from the Middle East and is a very mild, creamy, thick, flavored milk that resembles a spreadable cheese, but is much finer in consistency.

.... The sea bass fillet is very well baked, slightly crispy on the edges and is eaten with the skin, and the asparagus with it is really worth it, because it is cooked by all rules – slightly crispy, without being raw.

Unfortunately, chef Stefan Arnaudov, who is the author of the menu, is no longer the head chef of the restaurant, I hope that the next one will take the leadership post successfully and that the restaurant will continue to enjoy the customers’ high evaluation of its food.

It’s worth stopping by Re Club if you’re on your way to Moskovska and Rakovska in Sofia for a tasty meal, a glass of fine wine or even just a cocktail, but try to drink it inside because the interior is a big part of the pleasure of being their guest.
