We went to Ungelt restaurant by chance. We walked around the center until it was time for our flight, looking for somewhere to dine. That’s how we got into it. We liked it and decided to stay.
The restaurant presents the paintings of the Bulgarian artist Rumen Sazdov. They make its interior remarkable. Because of them we stayed when we entered, not knowing they were his.
The food is good, the plating nice. The style is fine dining. However, we were very unpleasantly surprised when first one starter was mistaken and then when we got the bill it was about 100 euros more. It turned out that instead of 2 glasses of wine, they put in 2 bottles of wine, which is a huge discrepancy.
Because of the incident with the bill, we were left with a very bad impression. This was either a very gross mistake, or an outright attempt to overbill tourists who happened to be in the establishment.
I do not recommend the restaurant Ungelt, precisely because of their blunder. Otherwise, a pity for the nice location, food and paintings.
