The mineral water of Pavel Banya town is very healing and quite strong. It is said that it is not recommended for drinking due to its high fluoride content (about 6-8 mg/l). Also, it is highly mineralized (about 1.7 g/l), making it unsuitable for daily use.

Hotel Atmosphere is one of the newest in the famous SPA town. The pools are wonderful, mainly due to the mineral water – there is an outdoor hot pool, indoor pools that are quite warm, including a magnesium one that requires an additional fee. Read further for more details.

… The interior is nothing special: I feel like the rooms of all the SPA hotels that have appeared in the last 5 years are the same, with no differences. It’s worth going to such a hotel only for the special characteristics of the mineral water and if there’s a different SPA service.

… Atmosphere is not just a SPA hotel but also offers balneo treatment procedures. So, for them and the mineral water, it’s worth visiting.

… The staff is kind and helpful: it comes naturally to them, not that they’ve gone through very special training or at least it doesn’t feel that way.

… A funny detail: the hotel has a smoking room, which is nice for fans of cigars and good cocktails.

… A nice mini-concert by Dancho Karadjov and DJ program: we happened to be there on a weekend when several companies had team-building events, and they invited the star of the Signal band to perform a concert. His voice is in perfect condition, he’s a true entertainer, and his applause was well-deserved. The program continued with a disco, it was fun.

… The food at the buffet in the mornings and evenings smelled very appetizing, with well-chosen aromas.

Taste in Atmosphere Hotel …

… A diverse and rich buffet: everything is very tasty, from the salads, which were made with very tasty and sweet tomatoes despite the season (all the guests asked where they were bought from), to the snacks like pasturma, bacon, sujuk, to the vegetarian dishes, fish, beef steaks, and Asian offerings… a cornucopia. I wouldn’t say it’s gourmet, but it’s delicious.

… The cocktails are good, but it depends on the bartender: the first night one bartender made me a super cocktail, just to standard, the second—disappointment, very diluted and tasteless.

I don’t know if I would visit Atmosphere Hotel again because, for me, it doesn’t stand out with anything special, but because of the good mineral water, I would return to Pavel Banya.

The area of Pavel Banya offers various options for tourism. You can visit the village of Turia, the birthplace of famous Bulgarian humorist writer Chudomir, and visit his museum. Aunt Aneta there will tell you many interesting things about his family’s biography and will treat you with homemade sweets and rakia.

Take a walk to the sunken church in the village of Viden. The whole area was flooded by the then government in 1960 when they built the Koprinka Dam there, but this church survived. It is interesting—you will see how far the water reached and how nature has reclaimed the beloved remains.
