The Annual Awards Ceremony for Culinary Bloggers, 2015, organized by blogovoditel.com took place in Metro Academy, which is located at Metro store 1 in Mladost district. The hall, in which the event took place is very suitable for such occasions, since it inspires culinary arts with all its details. It can be adapted for bigger audiences or smaller ones, could be used for cocktails or dinner shows.

We spoke on the topic of culinary art and its growing popularity in Bulgaria with the PR manager of Metro Cash & Carry Lyudmil Karavasilev, and discussed the contribution of Metro Academy to this process with its courses for chefs and enthusiasts, organized in its fully equipped professional kitchen. I was glad to learn that this activity will be expanding in the future, so culinary fans can expect even more specialized events in the future. I believe that the culinary arts can contribute also to enriching the experience of tourists visiting our country, presenting high quality meals from Bulgarian cuisine.

The winners of the Culinary Bloggers Awards were chosen both by the jury and the audience. The jury consisted of Veselina Popova-gold medallist in carving, instructor and international culinary judge, Elitsa Mineva- editor in Chief of the magazine “Culinary Journal, Yolanta Delibozova- Yolly – musician, culinary blogger and TV presenter in 24Kitchen, Chief Valery Neshov- Treasurer of traditional Bulgarian recipes at restaurant Before 10, Chef Yuri Velev- Chef at Metro Academy, symbolic host and Ilian Dimitrov- creator of Blogovoditel.

Events like awards granting inspires motivation to culinary bloggers who invest efforts and hearts in sharing their cooking secrets. I’m sure these people don’t do it for awards or acknowledgements, but simply for the love of the culinary arts. It’s fascinating to see how a they blush and thank heartily for their efforts appreciation.

Thanks to Ivo and Ilian, and their site blogovoditel.com, the culinary bloggers in Bulgaria began to gather together, became a community sharing experiences and ideas, provoking each other to create even better recipes- more impressive and delicious. Some of them have come up with some interesting names for their blogs, others are skilful photographs, some are young, others in their golden age. They share one common feature- passion for cooking and blogging!

I personally am more a consumer than a serious chef, but I also have some experience in the kitchen. When I need to check up a recipe, I look for it in their blogs and find interesting tips there. And thanks to blogovoditel.com I can see all the variations of a recipe, bearing the personal style of each author. I’d suggest to the owners of blogovodiel.bg to reach for a next step- a site with recipes from around the world in multiple languages.

Two words about the event as a whole: nice rewards for nice people!
