I borrowed for the title of this post the hotel’s slogan, which reads “More than you expect!” I did it, not because I can’t think of anything else, but because it matches completely the reality. You can count on what’s on their website, Lucky Bansko really offers it to you and they even exceed your expectations!
See ….
…. The rooms are comfortable and wide;
…. SPA area, indoor and outdoor swimming pools. The outdoor one is located at the Italian restaurant Leonardo, which is on the other side of the street and is also part of the hotel;
…. For the kids there is an outdoor playground and children’s club indoors, loads of electronic games, computers and Escape rooms, which function only in winter, because in the summer English classes are held inthere at the summer camp LuckyKids;
…. Many prints of beautiful paintings by famous artists, with a lot of emphasis on Andy Warhol;
…. The beautiful presentation of the dishes at the Leonardo restaurant. But there is not only this remarkable- the whole interior, even the toilet is very touched. The toilets are equipped with disinfectants and any extras, including hand lotion.
When a restaurant has taken so much care even of the toilet, so that it meets the highest hygiene requirements and is designed with style, it means that the customer care is at an exceptional level, that clients’ comfort is placed as a top priority. For us, the guests, there’s nothing else left to do but trust every meal on the menu, give them our money with pleasure and come back over and over again.
Feel ….
…. High quality of service at every post in the hotel and the restaurant- you communicate only with smiling and polite people obviously doing their job with pleasure. It was evident that they were well coached- there were no pesky phrases, no fancy clichés, expressing very human attitude and readiness to respond to every customer need.
I’ll give you an example with a little detail. My daughter was looking for a cocoa milk at breakfast. She looked at one of the coffee machines, which, by the way, was a WMF brand, but she didn’t find her drink. I asked the cook who prepared the omelette, eggs and pancakes in an open kitchen for help. The man immediately undertook to find how the requirement of the little client could be satisfied. Asked a fellow waiter to help. The man smiled at my daughter, spoke directly to her and took her personally to show which machine has milk with cocoa. She was very proud that she could make the drink there herself;
…. House Keeping cleans the rooms twice a day and leaves Lindor chocolates on the evening visit. They always greet you with a smile when you meet them in the corridors;
…. The outdoor pool at the Italian restaurant Leonardo is available for an extra fee unless you book an aqua package with overnight stays. The price is EUR 7.5 for the booth, with a complement two bottles of ice water;
…. There are numerous additional activities that are offered such as mountain trekking, horseback riding, paintball…. All of them are included in the activities of the children’s Camp LuckyKids;
…. WiFi is everywhere and is quite good;
…. The cosmetics in the bathroom are L’Occitane, series with Verbena- my favourite scent!
There are also many small comforts, especially for families with babies.
Hear ….
…. Nice light music in the restaurants;
…. If you accidentally meet with the children from Camp LuckyKids at breakfast, you will not hear the usual loud buzz that children create- everything is well organized, the kids know how to behave and even apply to table manners: without elbows on the table and with a towel on the lap.
Movie watching time: 3:5 min
Smell ….
…. Wonderful appetizing smell of dough roasted in the oven at the Italian restaurant Leonardo. Pizzas are prepared in an open kitchen;
…. The cocoa in the tiramisu served in a glass at Leonardo;
…. Berries and cherry in the Rose by Four Friends.
Taste ….
…. There was a breakfast Cornucopia in the morning- I can’t think of anything missing, so there’s even a bio and gluten-free nook. Besides the many types of charcuterie, eggs in any form and dairy products there were also two types of sandwiches with mincemeat and cheese. You can order also omelette which is cooked in front of you in the open kitchen. Abundance of fruit and vegetables, fresh, marinated, whole, cut. Pastry of any type, fresh and tasty. You can see it in the movie;
…. Fish soup Cacciucco in the Italian restaurant- exceptionally good, bisque with mussels, shrimp, squid. With a glass of rosé it makes a perfect combination;
…. The coffee from the WMF vending machines is great. Add to it a Merengue – It’s just like home!
…. Tea at the lobby bar is served with real honey in a mini jar. The same jars are provided for breakfast at the tables, along with any sugar and stevia.
I recommend Lucky Bansko and especially to families with children. Last but not least, I would like to mention that Lucky Kids camp is very well organized, the teachers are great and the kids feel very well there.
