Georgalas Sun Beach Resort has a restaurant with the same name on the first line to the beach. The hotel breakfast is served there as well as lunch and dinner. It also supplies food and drinks to the beach. We didn’t even think of changing it to another establishment – we liked it very much. Read on for why.

… Georgalas has an outside and an inside part, but in the summer the whole inside part opens up and becomes a big outdoors room – cool, with lots of fans, so you don’t get tired of heat;

… A richly stocked fish and seafood display;

… The wine list is very well selected – there are bottles of wine from 18 euros as well as from 70. Both categories deserve and are good – there is no bad wine among them.

Feel in restaurant Georgalas …

… Great service. There is also a waiter who can advise you on the choice of wine – and it is all Greek and good.

… Prices for a kilo of fresh fish vary between EUR 50 and EUR 80, which is cheaper than on the sleeves of Halkidiki;

… At the end, they always serve a complimentary dessert – fruits and sweets, and if you ordered more expensive fish, they also bring you a whole bucket of liqueurs and digestifs, so you can choose which and how much to taste;

… Beer and wine on the beach are delivered in a branded metal bucket with lots of ice to keep it cold for as long as possible.

… Nice Greek music for the soul and for rest, predisposing to repast and rest;

… Light surf from the waves because the water on the beach is very calm.

Smell in restaurant Georgalas …

… The aromas of Greek wines are memorable – from the strong floral of Malaguzia to the more refined Assyrtiko;

… Slightly smoked in sardines lightly grilled – they were very tasty;

… Citrus in mullet carpaccio – a great combination, we really liked it.

Taste in restaurant Georgalas …

… Everything was very tasty in this restaurant, except for the Meligiano salad or the eggplant salad. Like it was out of a can or something.

I’ll highlight the things that aren’t standard in other places that impressed us:

  • Mullet carpaccio – I have never tried such a thing anywhere – well flavored, with citrus, remarkable! However, it is a bit expensive – 15 euros, and the portion is quite small.
  • I already mentioned the grilled sardines – which were also very tasty
  • Something you may not have tried is eggplant stuffed with seafood. Instead of minced meat, a lighter version and of course with lots of red pepper and olive oil. I really enjoyed this sea read!
  • Complimenting the desserts at the end, there are various semolina- based, fruit and a very notable panna cotta, but only 1 per plate.
  • In desserts, great Pavlova – this is one of my favorite desserts and I don’t miss trying it in different places. The meringue part was very crispy and tasty, with a slightly chewy filling inside, just like it should be.

… The restaurant offers themed dinners, barbecue, moussaka and fish – all with very tasty food.

At the barbecue dinner there were surprisingly good kokoretsi and kontosouvli!

Kokoretsi are skewered rolls made of lamb offal, wrapped in lamb intestines – a great delicacy!

Even people who don’t eat intestines will enjoy them. They were very well prepared.

Kontosouvli are rolled up large pieces of meat that are grilled on a spike. It becomes tender and because you can put meat from different parts in it, it becomes tasty and tender. It is usually made from pork, but it can also be prepared with chicken.

If I go for a seaside vacation again to Kallikratea, I will definitely visit Georgalas restaurant again.
