If there is a place that you must visit in Kazanlak, it is an Italian bakery Giorgio.
In general, this type of places, especially when they are self-service, I review only on social networks, but here I was so impressed that I decided to write a detailed review, because this real jewel in the capital of the Valley of Roses and its team deserves it.
From the outside and at the entrance, you realize that Giorgio Bakery is made with passion and love for detail.
Why I think so, read below in the review.
…. Cornucopia of various pastries and cakes – homemade pies, banitsa, croissants, cakes, sandwiches, but not as you imagine, pizzas, sweets, cookies, homemade bread, sourdough bread, all kinds of flour and counting. They bake them in a specially made oven.
…. Very nice interior and exterior in the style of Italian bakeries;
… Wonderful details adding coziness – shelves with books for young and old, paintings, flowers made of fabric as table decoration, live plants in small pots in the form of teapots.
…. Clean, equipped with the best accessories on the market toilet, with playful details.
If you follow my blog regularly, you know that I always pay special attention to the room that is somewhere in the back and creates the biggest challenges for maintaining hygiene – the toilet. When it is impeccably clean, well equipped and as stylish as the main salon, then we are dealing with professionals who care about the comfort of their customers down to the smallest detail. This is exactly the case with Giorgio Bakery.
…. Atmosphere of a small Italy – people are smiling and talking with pleasure and joy about the food they offer;
…. Of course Italian canzonettas and folklore, which transfer us to Italy.
Movie watching time: 1:05 min.
…. It smells in the bakery of pastries and coffee- enchanting aromas!
…. Everything! I highly recommend the homemade banitsa – fluffy and delicious local pie with cheese and eggs;
…. Cake with apples and walnuts – with egg white crust on top – very crunchy!
…. We tried Mimosa cake. Chocolate brownie layer, crispy at the edges, mascarpone filling with figs inside – fantastic!
…. All kinds of cookies and sweets – Turkish delights, cookies, gingerbreads, buttercups, eclairs….
…. Homemade ham and yellow cheese sandwich baked in dough – it’s wonderful !;
…. The pizzas have a thicker dough and resemble the garnished pies from the Socialist times in Bulgaria, but the main difference is that this here is made with focaccia dough and with good products, which makes it very tasty.
….Coffee – their professional espresso machine is a rare model in which the coffee is extracted manually by a lever, directly with hot water and not with steam. From Italian baristas I know that steam is the enemy of coffee and that 9 pressure bars are essential for its taste. Here all the requirements for the perfect espresso are met.
When we visited the Giorgio bakery, they were exactly 2 years old and of course they indulged us with coffee on the house for their anniversary. We wish them many more years to delight their customers with delicious food and good mood.
…. Homemade lemonade from organic concentrates.
Everything is freshly baked and very nice! This place is great. I highly recommend it and secretly dream of having one, the same in Sofia.
