Since I already wrote about Lucky Bansko Spa & Relax last year, I thought I would not repeat myself this time, but it would be very unfair not to properly appreciate the efforts of these people in times of great uncertainty for the tourism industry, where hotels and restaurants they do the impossible even to stay in business, to adequately serve their customers, but also to keep their health intact from the virus.
This post about Lucky Bansko Spa & Relax is especially for their proficiency, care and attention to their customers, which they always demonstrate, despite all the madness of the Covid-19 pandemic.
See ….
…. At first glance everything is as before, but now we notice the plexiglass at the reception, disinfectant dispensers located everywhere, the masks with a ventilation valve, which the staff wears and in the right way, covering the nose;
…. Smiling teachers and animators from the Lucky Kids camp.
For a consecutive year our children visit Lucky Kids camp with English language teaching. They are always very happy and say that they want for the following year to stay at least 2 weeks. The hotel conditions for campers are excellent – delicious food, accommodation in apartments for 4 children. If there are siblings or close friends, you can request a separate apartment for them. The children take a preliminary test for determination of the English language level proficiency and are allocated to groups based on it. Even a child who does not speak the language can manage perfectly. Other activities are hiking, cycling, horse riding, Paintball, cooking, yoga, swimming. Everyone is satisfied, happy and super close with the teachers and animators. For many years now the camp is active and preferred by many families, even during this troubled viral year 2020.
Feel ….
…. During the first weekend of our visit, breakfast was on an individual menu, and guests had a choice of 4 breakfast options. I tried them all, they are all very tasty. The children from the camp were also given individual portions that week;
…. The following week there were more people the traditional buffet breakfast was open, but everyone entering the restaurant was given a face mask and individual gloves. You can’t approach the buffet without them. The campers were also on this principle;
…. Order a comfortable pillow of your choice. You can request other extras described in a special menu for the room;
…. The apartments have a kitchenette, well furnished even for cooking;
…. An espresso machine, a toaster, mineral water as a compliment, plus a bottle of red wine is something you shouldn’t be surprised about here;
…. If you want to use the outdoor pool at Leonardo Restaurant, you pay BGN 18 for a sunbed. The pool is nice and worth it. They give you towels and ice bottles of mineral water for each paid deck chair or 2 per tent.
Hear ….
…. In the evening, dynamic good music can be heard outside the hotel entrance, in the lobby bar and at breakfast;
…. It’s a little noisier in the rooms with mountain views because of the street.
Movie watching time: 2:43 min.
Smell ….
…. The aroma of fresh charcuterie, roasted sausage, fresh breakfast products.
Taste ….
…. Benedictine eggs, if there is an individual menu;
…. From the buffet traditional banitsa, a pie with Turkish delight, eclairs and some syrup pie. Combine with a nice espresso from the WMF machines on the buffet;
…. Caramel candies from the reception and Lindor chocolates, which house keeping brings in the evening when preparing the bedrooms.
This time we didn’t eat at the Italian restaurant Leonardo because we didn’t have time, but we drank nice cocktails there while we were at the pool. Read more about them in my previous post Lucky Bansko SPA&Relax and Leonardo restaurant are “more than you expect!”
We re-visited Baryakova tavern, about which I have nothing different to say than before. It’s the same there, the waiters are the same, the orchestra is still noisy and active. Read about it in the publication Try the Traditional Bansko Specialties in Baryakova Mehana.
We tried another tavern – the Obetsanova Tavern and it became our favorite. Read about it in the publication Delicious and cozy at the Obetsanova Tavern in Bansko
After a nice and nourishing dinner, be sure to stroll along the pedestrian street of Bansko, heading to Pirin mountain. It is full of small cafes, other taverns in traditional style, artisan shops. And in summer there is opera, jazz or other events on the square.
