See the short movie further below: 5:19  min. In it, in addition to photos and views from the hotel, you will see such from Sandanski, the beautiful nature in the city garden St. Vrach, you will hear the noise of the river Sandanska Bistritsa.

At the very end of the city, on the banks of the turbulent and tireless river Sandanska Bistritsa is Park Hotel Pirin or, as it is better known – Hotel Sharlopov. The place is strategic – next to the forest, by the river, if you are lucky enough to stay in a room overlooking it, you will have the pleasure to breathe the healthy negatively charged ions that its powerful current produces and enjoy this natural bustling river.

…. The huge real plants inside the main lobby at the hotel reception, as if in a tropical garden.

From the very beginning, with the entry you are set for complete relaxation and healthy recreation in nature.

…. The view from rooms overlooking the river – greenery, river, sunset – wonderful natural picture;

…. The rooms in the new wing number 4 are nice, clean, with a neat and nice style – beautiful lighting fixtures, modern carpet, sink in the bathroom made of corian;

…. Here and there in the hotel – original paintings, which always makes a very good impression.

…. Hotel compliments- 2 bottles of mineral water, a small bottle of white wine, instant coffee and tea;

…. Bathrooms amenities- in addition to the standard cosmetics, a toothbrush and toothpaste, a razor and something I have not found anywhere else is offered, but it is very useful for the ladies – toilet milk for removing make-up.

This small but important detail impressed me a lot, because makeup remover is one of the things I most often forget and I have to get on the go. I guess for other people, it’s the same with the brush or the razor.

Keep in mind that if you are extravagant with shampoos and shower gels, you will have to ask for a second set, as it is loaded with one bottle of a kind.

…. Towels and bathrobes in the rooms are made of soft and pleasant textiles. For the pool they give others at the reception of the spa, but it is best to bring yours if you want it to be bigger and more comfortable;

…. Breakfast is in the restaurant on the second floor and has a fixed final time of 10 am.

It is good to comply with it, because that’s when they start collecting food and if you think that another 5 minutes is not a problem, you will be unpleasantly surprised.

The reason is that the staff who work all day and evening in both restaurants and in the morning for breakfast is the same and at 11 o’clock should have prepared the main restaurant- the Balkan restaurant, for lunch, i.e for 1 hour they have to pick up breakfast, clean and prepare to welcome guests for lunch. If there is an event like a wedding or a ball, these people take care of it again.

It may seem to you that such strict adherence to hours is unfair to customers, but remember that in a pandemic and constant business closures, it is difficult to maintain permanent staff, their regular pay and the high quality of service.

…. A spa area that also offers real physiotherapy and balneal services. If you want to try the massages, book an appointment in advance;

…. Get a swimsuit, no matter what the weather – you can use it in the outdoor pool, equipped with sunbeds and soft mattresses, if it is warm, or indoors, where there is a jacuzzi with hot mineral water. In addition, you can visit the bio sauna, regular sauna and 2 types of steam baths;

…. You have the opportunity to use the hotel’s shuttle van to the city, which departs at fixed hours, but it is best to ask at the reception exactly what its schedule is;

…. The location of the hotel is great, because it is both at the end of the city, where it is calmer, and you can walk to the center through the park Sveti Vrach. See views from it in the movie.

If you continue along the main street and reach the end, where the road to Greece passed before the Struma highway appeared, you will reach Villa Sintika, whose restaurant Sinti I described in a separate review.

 Hear ….

… Noise of the full and fast river Sandanska Bistritsa. For some it may be noisy, but I really liked it. Besides, when the window is closed, nothing is heard;

…. The chants of the birds, which seem to sing to the main iso of the river;

…. For lovers of live music, the Balkan restaurant, i.e. the main one offers it on Saturday night..

Smell ….

…. Plenty of rose bushes – beautiful, fragrant!

…. The herbal steam bath smells of eucalyptus, as it should;

… Pleasant fine aroma of yellow apple and citrus in the complimentary wine of the hotel. It went well with the freshness of the air by the river, on the small neat terrace of the room with iron tables and chairs and the last rays of the sunset.

Taste ….

…. Breakfast is decent, there is variety. I was most happy with the honeycombs. We always take advantage of them. There are pancakes and croissants for children if they frown at other things;

…. If you don’t feel like drinking coffee from vending machines, you can ask them to make you an espresso, but be aware that you have to pay EUR 1.5;

…. The main, so-called Balkan restaurant, as you can guess, offers traditional Bulgarian cuisine and barbecue, but if the hotel is full, as it was in our time, it is good to make a reservation in advance.

If you fail to book a table, through the park you walk down to the main street and it is full of restaurants.
