HillHouse is a guest house with a nice interior design and excellent location in the Old Town of Plovdiv, near the church “St. The Mother of God “. It is a cultural monument and dates back to the 19th century. It was abandoned and collapsed in the 20th century, but was later completely restored to old architectural documents. Adding the friendly attitude of the owner and staff to their guests, this place becomes one of the top options for staying when visiting Plovdiv.
See ….
…. Beautiful old building, welcoming and alluring;
…. Good interior design – in the rooms, in the restaurant – very nice and artistic, modern;
…. The rooms on the ground floor are not exactly ground floor, but about a meter sunk into the ground. They have windows, but if that’s a problem, look for options on the upper floors, where is a nice view.
Feel ….
…. The convenience of being in such a central location, close to the artistic central district Kapana, to the Ancient Theater, the center, the theater, at the very beginning of the Old Town, and right next to it there are 2 galleries;
…. Very nice service. Personally the owner makes reservations, sometimes works at the reception, makes sure that guests are satisfied and do not miss anything;
…. The rest of the staff also communicates with attention to customers and necessarily with a wide smile.
They made a very pleasant surprise for my birthday – they gave me a bottle of a very nice rose from Brestovitsa, Erigone 2017 of the Bulgarian Ruby variety, with wonderful notes of berries and a slight citrus.
You will see it in the video, and I have already shown it in the publication for Blu Bay Hotel in Sozopol. It partnered with us very well as we looked over the port and the island of St. Kirik from the terrace of the apartment.
Hear ….
…. When the window is open, you can hear a slight noise from the boulevard over which the house is perched, but if you close it, there is no problem. Otherwise, the neighborhood is quiet, as it is central and there is no heavy traffic, most of it is from pedestrians..
Movie watching time: 2 min.
Smell ….
…. Aroma of fresh banitsa (traditional Bulgarian cheese pie) for breakfast.
Taste ….
…. In addition to the banitsa for breakfast, you can choose 3 other options.
…. Breakfast is very tasty and pleasant;
…. Compliment water, tea and instant coffee in the rooms.
You can see everything described so far in the photos in the movie.
