…. The new place has its own, different character, combining contrasts – modern, airy, white sculptures such as the counterpoint of the old townhouse, with parquet floors and crystal chandeliers, high ceilings and wooden doors, which houses the restaurant now;
…. I immediately looked at the menu to see if Chef Andre Tokev has kept in it my favorite dishes- hooray, there they are!
…. Extremely good service- I think the waiters are new compared to the last time I wrote the first review, because this time they are very careful and flawless;
… The most unexpected, tender smooth texture and thin savor of the beans soup- this is an exceptional dish, combining the tradition of Bulgarian cuisine with a small gourmet tease with the added ideal-looking poached egg with truffles on top; it became my favourite.
…. Master boiled vegetables in the veal tripe, glazed with roasted sauce and coconut milk – crispy with wonderful counterpoint of the foam on top;
… Crispy, lightly caramelized edges of the destructed pancake Keiserschmarrn- I love it!
…. The music is relaxing- sax, piano, casual enjoyable.
…. The smoke of smoked trout in potato salad with leeks, quail eggs, red caviar, mousse cheese- it is served under the hood, in which the smoke is closed, very trendy lately; a little strong was this smoky flavor for me and I think that it takes over the fragrances on the plate;
…. Black pepper flavour in one type of homemade bread, which is served at the beginning with butter, stirred with bits of seaweed;
…. Aroma of homemade jam of plums and caramel from roasted raisins and sugar in the Keiserschmarrn dessert.
…. Surf & Turf – chunks of lean beef, shrimp, arugula, asparagus, on a bun, smeared with chutney, it is superb;
…. Keiserschmarn- destructed Pancake, which is prepared as pancake dough was fired on a pan with sugar crystals, raisins and nuts, served with plum jam- I feel hungry for it as I write about it, favorite to the whole family.
… Finally a dessert wine Porto Twan, great team with the pancake.
We hadn’t been to ANDRe since they moved two or three months ago to the new place. We really liked the new home of the restaurant. The old house with the modern sculptures suits it very much. In the same way the dishes combine traditional recipes with modern techniques, as in the bean soup served as cream soup with poached egg and truffle.
There was a lot of good wine by glass as the waiter offered to open up another bottle – I liked this flexibility very much!
In ANDRe’s meals everything is elaborated in detail. I’ve already got to go back and try the other stuff on the menu.
