The restaurant of chef Andre Tokev, the star of MasterChef, moved to a new address and it was high time to dedicate another laudatory review to it. ANDRe is one of those fine dining restaurants where, no matter how complicated a dish is designed, it is always delicious.
…. As always, the new place is nice, cozy with an elegant clean style;
…. Befitting a restaurant of such a high class, the plating is impeccable;
…. Works of art are used for decoration in all rooms;
…. Beneath our table was a wooden skewer, uncleaned by previous customers. A small detail that, I would rather miss if we were not speaking about ANDRe.
…. Kaloyan, our waiter was impeccable. He remembers the old customers, remembers what they like to eat, gives extremely adequate advice and presents the dishes with ease and finesse;
…. Crispy fried tripe in the dish Chopped beef Black Angus, wrapped in cabbage, put on a beef tongue – a great dish, I recommend it!
…. Wonderful elegant jazz;
…. Mostly foreign language speech from clients.

Every dish in ANDRe smells great, but one thing stood out this time because it was unexpected – in Kaiserschmarrn, a trademark in the desserts of Chef Tokev, there is plum jam, in which I felt hints of cinnamon, and Kaloyan told me that there is also black pepper. Even such a simple thing that any Bulgarian housewife can prepare is touched with skill here, which makes a difference.
…. While you are waiting for your meal to get read, as it always happens in this restaurant, you are served homemade bread with flavored butter. This time the bread was like a brioche, and it had a lightly burnt butter mixed with plain one and rolled in sunflower seeds. It was a great start! Additionally, we got a twisted type of arancini, only not in the form of a fried ball, but rather restructured rice, with mushroom sauce;
…. Great fish in a vine leaf with vegi ragout of grapes, capers and red onions.There was a mekitsa next to it, which looked more like steamed bread, but it was slightly stiff and sticky and needs a bit of improvement.
…. The wine in a glass was a wonderful Chardonnay that went well with my dishes;
…. Cafe gourmand– I highly recommend it because it is a gentleman’s company of several types of dessert, chaperoned by a beautiful, cup of coffee Dabov. The desserts include a stone that is actually white chocolate mousse, a Garash cake, but not the typical one, pear puree smoked in hay enclosed like a candy bar in white chocolate and two chocolates.
