See …
…. Unattractive at first impression from the road, Paramun inn will surprise you;
…. Interesting old photographs on the walls;
…. Two refrigerators, filled with delicacies, fresh and homemade yogurt, dairy products from a small nearby dairy farm;
…. Crowded on the weekend.
Feel ...
…. Self- service, but for the things that require more preparation you get table service;
…. Eating quickly, without a lot of hanging out, because the next car stops and people want to sit down.
Listen …
…. Noise from the road;
…. I didn’t hear the music, we sat outside.
Smell …
…. Bean soup, savoured with a lot of mint which smelled wonderful;
…. The smell of the BBQ;
…. The smell of smoked meat of domestic Sirloin
…. The smell of butter and mixed spices in the gyubek (a type of fresh yellow cheese).
Taste …
…. Tripe soup- delicious with homemade milk;
…. Bean soup- I mentioned it already;
…. BBQ – classic Bulgarian;
…. Spruja – a traditional dish from Bulgaria and Serbia, which is made from very finely sliced meat, fat, sometimes sub-products, cooked very slow, so that the meat, can be preserved. It can be consumed pure or sautéed with eggs. I didn’t expect to like it, because of the fat, but it turned out to be very tasty;
…. Homemade smoked sirloin, sausages, homemade cheese and gyubek.
You may not choose to eat at such kind of place by the road and may find it unattractive, but if you overcome your inhibitions, you will enjoy a delicious bean soup, a pretty good tripe soup, spruja, sudjuk (another traditional sausage), pacha soup, typical for old Bulgarian cuisine meals.
So, if you plan to visit the region of Trun town and the area after Breznik, you will see the sign for Paramun village and Paramun inn is there.
If nothing else, eat one Bean Soup-I recommend it!
