Sometimes I wonder if Sevda creates tasteful masterpieces or exquisite visuals, because their sight is no less pleasing than the taste and aromas on the plate. The autumn menu at Ahroa is a delight for all the senses.

…. Each dish has color expressiveness, elegance in the forms of the products and completeness of the visual layout;

…. The interior of the restaurant is pleasant, cozy, but it does not distract the customer from the masterpieces on the plates.

Feel ….

…. Friendly and welcoming service. We found there the best sommelier in Bulgaria from Seewines – Blagoy Kuzmanski, who greets guests with a smile, tangible and visible, despite the mask;

Mentioning a sommelier, to my great delight, Ahora already offers quite a rich list with a wonderful wine by the glass. This is thanks to Blago and Seewines. Feel free to trust his recommendations if you are lucky enough to meet him there.

I also know that Sevda uses high quality wine for its sauces. And in general, the matching of food with wine has a very high emphasis in the restaurant, which speaks of exceptional professionalism in the field of complex work with the senses, so that the customer’s visit is memorable.

If on my previous visit I had noticed as an omission and mentioned in my post  AHORA (AORA) – ENJOY THE MOMENT WITH GREAT FOOD FROM MASTERCHEF SEVDA DIMITROVA, SOFIA, BULGARIA that the waiters did not explain enough about the food they served, this time there was no compromise in this regard. Each waiter duly tells what is on the plate, answers questions, just as expected in a good fine dining restaurant..

…. Truffles in Fagottini with parmesan and chestnuts;

…. The spicy aroma of roasted hazelnuts in the salad “Forest, goat, beard” and in the Fagottini with Parmesan and chestnuts;

… The tart aroma of my favorite tea matcha in the dessert “Alice in Wonderland”;

…. Rich fruity aromas of Viognier, Marsan and Claret in a wonderful wine by the glass from the Rhone Valley – Domaine de Saint Cosme Les Deux Albion Blanc 2020.

Taste ….

…. Everything is very tasty, the dishes are poetically described in the menu and definitely pleasantly surprise…

… The goose liver is wrapped in vine leaves, which makes it even more delicious and very interesting,

… A root called salsify, which resembles asparagus but is more earthy in feel and aroma,

… Edible birch leaves in the “Forest, goat, beard” crunchy and salty as chips,

… “Where did the summer go?” Salad is in two parts, in which there is smoked bonito and interesting things like kohlrabi (German turnip), turnips, avocados and hot pepper jam,

… Be sure to finish with dessert, and if you are a fan, add a glass of Porto or Sherry dessert wine.

We tried “Alice in Wonderland”, with Diplomat cream, pistachio sponge, frozen foam with yogurt. It is served attractively by melting the white chocolate crust and is absolutely remarkable!

It was so tasty and enjoyable in Ahora that I want to jump back again and try something else. Admittedly, this is a restaurant where, although I am a carnivore, I am always divided on whether to choose a vegetarian option instead of  meat, and I never regret my choice, it only increases my desire to try more things.
